FEMME FUTURES + DIVA CUP

"Diva Cup" is a femme centered surf competition and music festival based on the Central Coast of California organized by Femme Future. The occasion celebrates the strength of femininity and is centered around the core value of radical self-expression. This special event, known as "Day for the Divas," ensures that all participants, artists, and spectators receive support and recognition, in harmony with the Coastal California environment that serves as our backdrop. The event celebrates feminine collaboration and is built on a foundation of radical self expression.

The Diva Cup is more than just a competition—it’s a movement. Locally grown, diversely celebrated. Together, we spark a revolution of authenticity, and the unstoppable force of female empowerment.

Femme Futures + Diva Cup is the brain child of Executive Director, Kyra Joseph a DJ and events producer. Kyra's along with her team, which includes Filmmaker - Photographer Jo Anna Edmison (Stoke Chasers), are dedicated to reimagining and transforming the Surf culture through music, art, and most importantly, radical acceptance. Located in Cayucos, California, the event unites top-tier musical performances, the influence of filmmaking, and the rich history of California surf culture to challenge norms and redefine surf narratives. By embracing the values of sisterhood, self-care, and gender equality, the event draws in progressive and environmentally-conscious participants. In its inaugural year, it gathered local eco-focused vendors, such as surfer Abby Ahlgrim and her recycled resin jewelry brand, Surf Gems. The 2nd annual Diva Cup event marks its inaugural year under the newly formed Femme Futures Foundation, including sponsorship support from Mad Hippie and Keep a Breast Foundation.

DIVATOPIA is the official after-party for the 2nd Annual Diva Cup Surf Invitational! This post-comp event includes an evening of music, film premiers, award ceremonies, a sausage fest, camping, and just an all-around Divatopia. Make sure you wear pink!
